Nine more weeks and I just ordered a new pair of hiking boots. That might be crazy considering they'll take 3 weeks to get here. The ones I bought in Feb, and have put 50 miles in, are still causing really bad blisters on the little toe of each foot. No matter how many band-aids or socks I wear, the result is very large, painful blisters after 6 miles.
SO....I took advantage of the 20% of wholesale sponsorship offer from SCARPA and bought a pair of boots that sell for $260. I paid $113! I didn't want to buy another pair but if after 50 miles, I'm still suffering this much then I don't think they're gonna work out. Check 'em out:

Of course, these distances don't account for getting lost and doubling back a few times, avoiding an aggressive herd of heifers or navigating the moors.... or wandering off in search of a pint.
